EIGRP ROUTING - Advanced

TASKS

1. Configure MD5 authentication
   
2. Configure a router id
   
3. Configure eigrp bandwidth percentage at 90%
   
4. Configure the bandwidth on the interfaces (optional)
   
5. Configure the hello interval 10s & Hold time 30s as appropriate with norms.
   
6. Disable logging of neighbor changes & warnings
   
7. Configure the default route on HQ to the ISP.
   
8. Propagate the default route from HQ to the zones
   
9. Configure the default route on the Zone routers & propagate it to the sub zones.
   
10. Routing updates should not propagate to the ISP or the Lans
    
11. Ensure that each Zone & Sub zone networks do not propagate beyond HQ to the other zones.
    
12. Use PPP with CHAP authentication.
    

On the Subzone routers

1. Configure the sub-zone routers as stubs
   
2. Do not allow exterior routes to be advertised in updates.
   
3. Influence the metric calculation to prefer the longer route to access the zone LAN´s
